Favorite Dive Site: My favorite dive sites are the Austin Smith wreck and Blue Hole (Exuma Cays) and the USS Oriskany (off Gulf coast of Florida/Alabama). The Austin Smith wreck is where we observed the shark feeding frenzy, along with a grouper searching for leftovers. The Blue Hole was something impressive to see. I swam with a turtle, saw a ray, and was mesmerized by the appearance this incredible dive site. I do enjoy diving the USS Oriskany (although, my first five on this site was not fun), because this massive naval aircraft carrier provides something different with every dive, along with an abundance of marine life, including sharks.
Favorite Dive Critter: My favorite ‘dive critter’ is, and will always be, sharks and orcas. I have loved both for as long as I can remember. My bucket list is to visit the Neptune Islands and cage dive with great whites. I have been blessed to see orcas in the wild in Alaska. Although, I must admit, it is exhilarating to stare into the eyes of a barracuda during your safety stop.
